This plugin adjusts the number of posts per page of the front page based on the total number of texts in all recent posts so that its height would automatically be in proportional with the height of your widget column.

Upload the ‘dynamic-home-length’ folder along with its content to the ‘plugins’ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Go to Settings>Dynamic-Home-Length and specify to length of home contents in number of characters (default is 1000).
Check the length of the home page content to see if you are satisfied. If not, go back to step 3 and adjust the settings until satisfied.
