Go to https://wordpress.org/plugins/lazy-load-ga4/ to download our plugin and install it to your WordPress System.

Upload lazy-load-ga4.zip to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory. And extract it zip file
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
After installing and activating the plugin, go to “settings -> Lazy Load GA4” to place your ga4 Project ID.
Then, you will start see your ga4 running on your site! Enjoy.

\nWhat does the Lazy Load GA4 Plugin actually do?\n\n

If there is no user activity, we will delay the ga4 script for 5 seconds. If the script detects the user scrolling or any mouse activity, the script will be placed immediately.

\nWhy you need this plugin?\n\n

If you are using traditional ga4 plugin to install your ga4 script or place the ga4 script directly to your website. You may notice a sharp drop in your WordPress site page speed score especially for Core Web Vitals.

In this plugin, we use a combination technique of both delayed loading and lazy load of the Google Analytics 4 script. When you use our plugin to place Google Analytics 4 script, it will not affect your page speed score.

\nWill this plugin speed up my website?\n\n

Technically, this plugin doesn’t speed up your website. If your website has a score of 80 (Core Web Vitals) before placing the ga4 script, after using our plugin. The score will remain the same (80).

But if you place the code directly copied from official website without using this plugin. You may notice, your website core web vitals score might drop a bit. Our plugin can help you avoid a drop in your core Web Vitals score.
